The Flow of Cymopoleia | Cuepoxy Collectible Mug #16

In Greek mythology, Cymopoleia is named as a daughter of Poseidon and the bride of Briareus in Hesiod’s Theogony. Her name evokes the motion of the sea. Cuepoxy’s gallery story imagines her presence in the quieter, persistent movement beneath the waves, where water carries its treasures across vast distances.
In The Flow of Cymopoleia, blue stones stream from a scallop shell through coral and smaller shells. Amethyst adds a flash of purple, while an arc of dark pearls suggests the graceful curve of a current. On this mug, the artwork offers a moment to appreciate the slow, steady forces that shape a journey.

Artist’s Note
I spent nearly three days arranging the stones, shells, and pearls until the materials seemed to flow while staying still. The artwork featured on this mug is a real, handcrafted Cuepoxy piece in my private collection; the physical original is not included with the mug. This is collectible mug #16 of 30, created so the image can be enjoyed beyond the private collection. The artwork may also be presented in other formats, including wall art.
