The Children of Tefnut | Cuepoxy Collectible Mug #8
Secure checkout
In the creation tradition of ancient Egypt, Shu and Tefnut emerge as the first pair from Atum: Shu is associated with air, and Tefnut with moisture. Their balance gives space and life to the world. The title The Children of Tefnut belongs to Cuepoxy’s artwork; it is not a claim that the two figures in the piece are both Tefnut’s children.
In this original artwork, a tall spiral figure and a smaller rounded figure stand together above a rectangular resin base. The shell beside Tefnut and the coastal details evoke the meeting of breath and water. Printed on this mug, their pairing offers a small daily reminder that very different forces can belong together.

Artist’s Note
I arranged the tall spiral and rounded forms as a pair, each giving the other a sense of place. The artwork featured on this mug is a real, handcrafted Cuepoxy piece in my private collection; the physical original is not included with the mug. This is collectible mug #8 of 30, created so the image can be enjoyed beyond the private collection. The artwork may also be presented in other formats, including wall art.
